Who else is feeling a full-on autumn cosy vibe right now, almost like the summer months were a blur of tantalising moments of heatwave leaving us seeking sunshine wherever possible?
This brings me to share my Autumn luxury wellness edit: expert and medically led, with results, starting with the expert, Dr Yannis.
Dr Yannis, 111 Harley St.
Imagine being introduced to one of THE most influential surgeons out there, as well as the founder of 111SKIN. Well, I was totally in awe when Dr Yannis, Founder and Medical Director at 111 Harley St, sat down with me, and we talked about his journey, 111SKIN and more.
His ethos of wellness meets science was well ahead of its time when he founded 111 Harley St. in 2001 as a centre of excellence (just two years after he graduated from Miami in 1999). 111 Harley St. is home to a team of highly qualified surgeons, aestheticians and more.
They perform a variety of advanced aesthetic enhancements, advocating a bespoke prescription of non-surgical and surgical procedures to achieve your desired outcome. With a rich history of pioneering innovative treatments and procedures, each patient will receive the top level of medical care and expertise.
As you can imagine, I had so many questions to ask him. I’ve been following the movement of people and trends towards wellness combined with technology and medical professionals for some time, and Dr Yannis is most definitely a pioneer in this area. His expertise means that his “Deep Plane” facelift has become something of a signature treatment, literally going deeper than the traditional facelift into the muscles, the framework, rather than a superficial level, the true foundations.
Post-Covid there has been a new momentum: younger patients seeking more permanent results, with the key ethos of prevention and a growing faith in science combined with a focus on health and longevity. You can see these things play a part in his lifestyle because of the way he talks about what he thinks the future is, the direction it is taking and how it affects our quality of life.
This could suggest that it’s beyond plastic surgery. People are more well-travelled, there’s a new kind of experiential mood afoot; wellness plays a part in our lives, with a more subtle nod to anti-ageing, and Dr Yannis and his wife Eva are fully invested. As Dr Yannis says: “Health is the new wealth!”
Following launching on Harley Street, Dr Yannis and his wife Eva have not only founded a medically led skincare range adored by his patients, celebrities and followers, but they are sharing their dreams and ideas worldwide via luxury spas, cruises (the Ritz Carlton Yacht) and high-end stores, Harvey Nichols even has a 111CRYO/HEAT.
Part of the 111 Group, this is a biohacking and wellness clinic based in the luxury Knightsbridge department store. The clinic uses innovative temperature and light treatments to promote optimal health, muscle recovery, and general wellness. The brand provides cryotherapy, thermotherapy (infrared sauna), 111SKIN facials and sports massages.
This stands as the longest-established and 1st in the UK to pioneer gas-free cryotherapy, the safest modern way to deliver this highly effective treatment. The immediate benefits of cryotherapy include enhanced mood and energy from the release of endorphins, reduction in cellulite, decreased fatigue, weight loss and radiant skin.
It’s amazing to think that all of these parts fit so perfectly together to make the 111 Group. I asked Dr Yannis if there was anything else he’d like to share; “It’s all about my team; my team’s highest priority is to ensure your safety and satisfaction.” You can learn more here.
Re Place
Re Place is a unique wellness studio in the heart of Notting Hill, focused on lymphatic health, body confidence, sports recovery and inner vitality. As you may have seen from my previous editorial, I’ve spent a lot of time in West London, living and working there, but I never actually had as much time as I would have liked to take in my surroundings until recently.
Work now means more focus on wellness, and I am all for that, so when I was visiting Westbourne Grove last month, I made it a priority to visit Re Place. The calming, neutral interior combined with a welcome from the knowledgeable staff puts you at ease straight away. The founder, Ania, has approached aesthetics and authenticity through something that works and is accessible.
“Our innovative Body Rollers promote lymphatic drainage, reduce water retention and cellulite, support weight management, and enhance sports recovery. Beyond physical benefits, they also improve sleep, energy, immunity, and metabolism.”
I was greeted by Kevin and he talked me through a 45-minute session with their body rollers. I’ve been a fan of lymphatic massage for a while so I was excited to see Re Place’s systems at work. They are completely therapist-free and the user is in full control of the experience in terms of pressure and speed. This is their USP, I think; for example, I didn’t want to spend so much time on my torso but I wanted to focus on my thighs.
As well as the lymphatic aspect, I felt the massaging aspect on my upper back made a real difference too, as I like to write I find I feel it in my shoulders especially. This is perfect for post-training too.
Using the Body Roller is a quick, straightforward, in-and-out experience – no need to get changed or showered. When on the machine you can still socialise (it’s a great activity to do with a friend, I’ve actually visited a second time with my friend and it’s the perfect opportunity to catch up and feel good), answer emails, read or listen to a podcast or music etc. This makes it fun and something that you can easily incorporate into your wellness routine.
Re Place is also home to London’s only Somadome – a meditation pod which is a favourite among celebrities. The Somadome fosters deep relaxation, reduces stress, enhances mental clarity, and serves as a powerful tool for intention setting and manifestation.
Together, these treatments provide an unmatched body and mind wellness experience, helping clients feel and look their best! Re Place is the go-to destination for those seeking effective, convenient treatments in a space that delivers real results. Unlimited use starts from just £120 per month. Sarah Bradden
Based at the Nejati Clinic, I met Sarah after Mahsa Nejati suggested The Sarah Bradden Method would be the perfect treatment for me. This has been specifically designed to treat you and your individual needs – simultaneously healing you on both the inside and outside
Sarah created the Bradden Method from personal experience; her ill health over four years was the side effect of a toxic relationship that made her homeless. Doctors suggested everything from diagnosing Crohn’s to treating her by removing part of her intestine. When Sarah discovered acupuncture, it was ‘like the nudge my body needed to heal itself’.
This started a love affair with healing; herself and others. I caught up with Sarah earlier this week and we chatted over the phone about her latest treatment, this can only be described as micro needling without the needles. This has always been considered a successful treatment for multiple skin conditions, so I asked Sarah how it worked.
By using what is known as ‘Microspear®’ derived from nature, this is an innovative ingredient for anti-ageing that rapidly improves skin ageing problems and effectively absorbs active ingredients to the basal layer of the epidermis.
This is part of an 8-stage treatment using Korean technology. There’s no downtime, and this is a perfect acne treatment, as lots of treatments can’t be used on active acne. This is a revolutionary, re-educating and authentic treatment that changes the texture of the skin and treats pigmentation and ageing. You can book Sarah here: www.sarahbradden.com
Pulse Laser
Pulse Laser Aesthetic Clinic is a boutique clinic offering a unique and personalised service to clients. They were one of the very first clinics in London to launch the revolutionary Soprano Titanium for Laser Hair Removal. Specialising in the latest laser and skin rejuvenation treatments, they aim to provide safe and effective treatments in a professional and clean environment.
All of their aesthetic equipment is the latest generation and approved by the FDA in the US for specific skin conditions to ensure safety and the best results.
I saw Yasmina regarding my semi-permanent, well more like permanent, eyebrows. I was desperate to undo the effects of two rounds of microblading and, with her expert advice and after two of my six sessions, I now see a massive difference. From thick dark brows, they are already a pale brown colour; 50% of the pigment has disappeared at least.
She has 26 years of experience, specialising in dermatology for the past eight, and she is the ONLY person I’d trust with such a treatment (and yes, I travel 2.5 hours for this). You can learn more here.
