7 Powerful Wellbeing Products to Prep for Winter

by Lis-Marie Liden

It is official, Summer is over and Winter is finally on its way, so I have tried out some amazing products to help you and your wellbeing from the inside out for the coming seasons.

Wellbeing from within

The wellbeing of your gut affects so much of your body and mind, it’s so important to have healthy digestive health. Microbz sent me three of their products; Revive probiotic, Sustain Probiotic and Woman Probiotic. A spoonful after a meal and you have given some love to your gut. This has quickly become a go-to after each meal or for those days when I feel sluggish inside.

Whether you have issues with IBS, bloating, fatigue or hormonal, Microbz has the product to help. Microbz probiotics are fermented with traditional herbs and minerals supporting good absorption. So far, I am feeling a positive impact and can’t wait to see what a longer usage will give me in terms of my gut health as well as my energy, skin, hair and nails.

Purolabs sent me their Collagen Complex capsules, which I have been taking daily for almost a month now. With age, we know that any support to boost collagen is welcome, and for me, with weird combination skin I find helping it with hydration and moisturizing from the inside as support for my daily creams is a great step. There are so many good qualities coming from these tablets such as reduction of premature ageing, improving elasticity and minimizing those fine lines. Simply take two tablets daily and support your skin, hair, nails and for me very importantly joints. I do feel like my aches have gotten less frequent.

FabÜ sent me three of their supplements, founded by Laura Dowling, she has found a way to use plants, herbs, vitamins and mushrooms to create these supplements and to support in a natural way.

I have been trialling the Focus Brain, Skin Glow and for me very excitingly Shrooms Meno & Peri. I firmly believe, even though my GP thinks I’m too young, that I am in Perimenopause, for those not in the know, this is a time leading up to Menopause and this is also the time when as a woman you just feel off, and things don’t really work as it should in your body. But that is an entirely another potential article.

I keep the Focus Brain at the office as that’s where my brain needs more support, and every morning I have been taking the Meno & Peri in the hopes of my body settling down a little, I do feel like my brain fog is a bit less than usual as well as my mood is more balanced. So, I am definitely continuing on this regime.

To support the detoxification of my liver I have been trying out Willpowders Electrolytes, which are electrolytes with diuretic properties. Not only does it help combat water retention and maintain strong bones, but it also helps to improve my mental function. Keeping you wonderfully hydrated and helps replace minerals lost through heat or exercise.

Electrotide Citrus

These are great if you retain more water when travelling, not only will they then minimise that but they are also all in a handy small sachet, easy to fit into your luggage. They come in three very tasty flavours, Citrus, Cherry and Watermelon. So why not start your day with one of your chosen flavours and give your body and brain that support? Simply empty a sachet in a glass of sparkling or still water, mix and enjoy!

External Wellbeing

Now we are going to move on a bit from our gut and brain health and focus on the mind and a bit of the body.

Your space and how you feel in it are equally important to your wellbeing, if we also feel relaxed and safe it will translate into overall wellbeing.

Temple of Incense sent me their new Mindful Incense collection, this is a perfect set for that deep dive into serenity.

In this collection, you’ll find four boxes of incense with different purposes, so depending on what you feel you need to work on that’s how you’ll choose.

  • Amber is for healing the mind, body and spirit.
  • Benzoin Absolute is for Tranquillity, grounding and healing.
  • Frankincense is for depression, insomnia, anxiety, stress, to promote natural energy boost and to aid winter blues.
  • Myrrh is for healing your root chakra and to inspire peace and tranquillity.
Gift Sets tmple of incense

Along with these choices of incense sticks you are given a seven Chakra wooden incense holder, great size and gorgeous in your chosen area of practice. And last but absolutely not least, you also get a Rudraksha meditation bead mala with 108 beads. Now I find these very helpful to keep concentration in the moment but also to help repeat my affirmation of choice. On occasion when I feel a bit anxious, I find myself counting and tracing through them for comfort. It really is a fabulous set and perfect for gifting if not for yourself.

Stress spares no one, unfortunately, and it really can wreak havoc on your body as well as be debilitating to your mind, don’t get me started on the blood pressure. So, finding a way to calm down and de-stress, especially after a bit of a day is so important.

Spa Ceylon sent me their De-stress Wellness Trio as well as their Sal & Saffron 2 in 1 deep cleanser + Facial Treatment Masque. My favourite way to use this as I am really focusing on wellbeing so use it as a mask, I apply it generously all over my face and let it work its magic for 15 minutes. This allows deep hydration and really nourishes my skin, allowing the grand collection of ingredients to penetrate and give my skin the glow and moisture it needs.

De stress Wellness Trio

Next to my bed, I keep my De-Stress Wellness trio close at hand. Except for the oil which I use during my shower before bed. This trio is infused with Ayurveda herbs and essential oils and oh the fragrance is absolutely divine.

To set the scene for my ritual I start by spraying the Harmonising Essence on my pillow and a little on my skin, and this might be my favourite because the fragrance is just so amazing. It really does feel calming all around. I then move on to a small amount of the Harmonising Balm on my temples and wrists, gently massaging it in. All together this makes me feel like I’m in a cocoon of calm allowing all the stress of the day to vanish.

For me drinking tea is to take a moment to enjoy and reflect. A brand that knows the impact of quality products, from the stylish packaging to the carefully curated blends is Row & Ma. Now I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Michelle, who just so happens to be the daughter of Rosita and Alain, did you see the play on their names in their brand?

Rosita is the one who curates the blends and makes sure they are as good as they can ever be with her unwavering passion. Alain is a pillar of support alongside running the brand behind the scenes, he sees the vision and does what is needed to allow this brand to flourish, and last but not least we have Michelle. When I met her in London I instantly noticed her style, effortless and chic. Such a lovely personality and easy to talk to, and this is our first meeting ever.

I could feel the passion as she told me about Row & Ma, she knows how to share their journey in a very inspiring way. I was sent a lovely collection of their teas to try. The packaging is minimalistic and elegant, suitable for any kitchen shelf.

My smaller sachets of more flavours were all collected in a little fabric pouch, equally chic. Now, in my gorgeous tin, I had the very aromatic Le Choc & Pop Organic black tea with Creamy chocolate flavour. And if I could only describe how chocolaty it smelled! I was concerned the flavour wouldn’t be as chocolaty as I hoped but that concern was quickly diminished. It is a soft black tea with just enough chocolate to satisfy that sweet tooth. No bitterness at all which I can sometimes also feel is too intense. It truly was just perfect.

If you treat yourself and go on their website you’ll be met by so much inspiration. Each tea has its own story and recommendation. And if you want to venture a little further why not try one of their food pairing selection? It is such a nice idea. But, if you thought that was the end, let me just tell you about their cocktail recipes, why not make a Choco-Champagne? I know I will with the help of my new favourite tea.

So many amazing and helpful products to support your all-over wellbeing this Winter, from the inside and out and all around. I hope you feel inspired to try some yourself, we can never take too much care of ourselves, and sometimes I do think we focus so much on others that we fall behind. Treat yourself to some self-care this season.
