Part 1: New Beauty Recommendations to Treat Yourself for Autumn

by Lis-Marie Liden

I am back with some new beauty recommendations of exciting products to support your hair and skin. Whether it is to nourish or style or find that new glow, I got you. This is a two-part beauty bundle so make sure to check that out!

New beauty products that nourish and treat your hair

I don’t have very thick or long hair, but I am desperately trying to give it the love and care it needs to be healthier and maybe gain more body.

Leonor Greyl sent me two products that I am really loving at the moment. The first one is their L’Huile De Leonor Greyl, a pre-shampoo treatment oil specifically for dry hair but that also works as sun protection. Before washing your hair, you simply take a few caps full of oil and work through the lengths of your hair, brush the product through and let sit for a minimum of 20 minutes (but better yet, why not overnight?). The fragrance is fresh and floral and made me feel very positive.

Once in the shower, simply rinse before shampooing. It can also be used as a leave-in product for very damaged hair, a few drops and applied on your ends and lengths. This oil is great at detangling and protecting all the while giving much-needed hydration to your hair.

Once my hair has been rinsed, I then move on to the Bain Vitalisant B shampoo specifically again for fine, damaged or colour-treated hair. It does not lather much so make sure you work it a little bit in your hands before applying. It’s completely Vegan and with 92% natural ingredients, which is good on fragile locks. Inside you’ll find Vitamins E and F, jojoba oil, botanical extracts and proteins, which all contribute to strengthening your hair and leaving it shiny and soft.

Hask Argan Oil NEw Beauty Recommendations

Continuing with products to support your hair, I also received a nice collection from HASK Argan Oil, my hair is very fine and very easily gets damaged, so it really does need extra depth of care. I was sent three products from their Repairing collection: shampoo, leave-in spray and a hair oil.

The shampoo requires very little amount of product for my entire head, lathers nicely and smells delicious. With continuous use, it will strengthen and restore, which after using heat and styling tools is super helpful. As my hair is very fine, I often shy away from a heavy conditioner, so the leave-in spray is perfect to help me condition but also easily detangle while brushing. I also like the thought of knowing I have a long-lasting conditioner supporting my locks.

To take the care one step further, I then moved on to add a few drops of the Repairing Hair Oil, which will help strengthen and support my ends and lengths as well as restore. If you are new to argan oil, I really can’t stress enough how much you are missing out. I have been to Morocco on several occasions and never leave without a vial of argan oil!

Tools that will style fine hair without breakage

Now that we have mastered the care of our hair, I have also received some styling tools that I am blown away by! My old straightener was, literally, on its last breath; I had to play around with the cord to make it work and a small movement and it’d die again. So, to say I was happy when I received the Silk’n Straight Infrared straightener is an understatement. But I was also very intrigued as I had never seen this set-up before.

It has infrared technology as well as the release of negative ions which close the cuticle layer and create a smooth silky surface and help seal in moisture. The titanium plates are floating which really allows it to work through the lengths without catching. It also heats up before you can blink so no need to wait around. And even more impressive is the travel pouch it came with, making it easy to take with you wherever you are off to.

The second tool was part of a lovely bundle of items and is the Bondi Boost Infrared Thermal Bounce Brush. With the same great use of infrared as mentioned previously, this gives you a bounce and volume giving the Victoria Secret models a run for their money!

I was in awe at how easily I could create this much body in my Scandi hair. No heat damage thanks to the infrared set-up, leaving my hair with a lovely sheen. And let’s not forget the aloe-infused bristles! My hair is grateful and absolutely stunning! To give my hair extra support, they also sent me their heat spray – no styling should ever be done without this, especially on thin and fine hair.

Now that I have my new bouncy hair, I have to make sure my parting looks smooth and my curtain bang is set. This is where the Bondi Boost Fly Away Wand steps in; this small but mighty product might just be a new staple for me. It’s so easy to just brush the product in every so gently and go and it fits in my bag for those days when I might have an event after work too.

Our armpits need love too!

This particular kind of product is new to me. I have used deodorants in all shapes, whether it’s a spray that seems to immerse the entire bathroom in fumes or a stick that dries up. But now I have tried something super exciting.

He-Fe so kindly sent me their Deo Serum; this small but mighty spray bottle contains a light oil that absorbs quickly. Simply spray 1-2 times under your arm and allow the oil to spread itself from your natural arm movement. It has a fragrance but not in the ways we are used to and it doesn’t need to because do we ever really need to smell anything from our armpits?

This product is unisex and can also be sprayed in other areas of need. This is not there to stop you from sweating but the beauty with this Deo Serum is that it will not only make your skin smoother it will accelerate drying after said sweating session. Small and handy for travelling and lasts a very long time.

I’ve really enjoyed trialling these products and I’m so happy I can share them with you. I do hope you feel inspired and treat yourself. You deserve it!
