St. Johann in Tirol

The St. Johann in Tirol ski area is a hidden gem known for its family-friendly atmosphere and charming alpine village. A great place to base yourself in, we recommend the 4-star Hotel Post in St. Johann in Tirol, we utilised the large underground car park and drove around to explore all the local skiing areas in the region.

The local skiing comprises 70 km of slopes, it caters to beginners and intermediate skiers seeking a more relaxed skiing experience. The gentle slopes are perfect for those learning to ski, while advanced skiers can explore some exciting runs.

St. Johann offers not just skiing but also a taste of local culture, with quaint shops and traditional restaurants and cafes lining the village streets. The après-ski scene is lively yet laid-back, making it an ideal destination for families looking to create lasting memories in a picturesque setting.

KitzSki Kitzbühel -Kirchberg

KitzSki is synonymous with luxury skiing, set against the backdrop of the world-famous Kitzbühel and Kirchberg. This prestigious ski area features over 200 km of slopes, including the legendary Hahnenkamm, known for hosting the annual World Cup downhill race. The Steinplatte Waidring ski area is a delightful destination situated on the border of Tirol and Bavaria. Lesser known than its neighbours, means the pistes do not receive as many skiers, so it is certainly worth visiting. Steinplatte has about 60 km of slopes perfect for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The picturesque views of the surrounding mountains make every run a visual treat.

The local mountain huts provide a cosy refuge to warm up and enjoy traditional Tirolean dishes. With its welcoming vibe and stunning scenery, Steinplatte is a fantastic choice for families and groups looking for a memorable ski experience.
