Put simply, I would describe FOUR London as a busy, sophisticated, stylish and welcoming salon in the heart of Mayfair. Clients travel far and wide just to have their hair looked after by the team. FOUR London even attract international clients from as far away as New Zealand, covering all continents. The royal family from the Middle East are also willing to travel in order to have their hair looked after at FOUR, so I think that tells you something about the level of service, skill and the talented stylists available at this luxury salon. The team also look after a wide range of celebrities, including A Listers and household names, such as Tess Daly, Nigella Lawson, Yasmin Le Bon, Lorraine Kelly, Natascha McElhone and Amanda Redman to name just a few. However, regardless of your status, everyone is treated with the exact same level of excellent service at FOUR. The atmosphere is professional but also very warm and relaxed. It is certainly a salon that makes you feel special whilst also helping you feel very much at home.

On the lower ground floor there is a relaxing beauty area that clients are free to use to reapply makeup or just freshen up before they leave the salon. A private styling room is also available for any clients that may prefer this.  There is also a beauty room offering a range of anti-ageing treatments such as the fabulous CACI treatments, manicure and pedicure services are also on offer. iPads are available for clients to use whilst in the salon which is a really nice touch. The iPads have a stored gallery of hair images to help clients decide on the look and style they would like to achieve. A superior hair extension service is also available for anyone looking to add length and/or volume to their hair.

FOUR London was founded by four friends who had individually achieved so much in the hairdressing industry and had over 50 years experience between them. The ladies, Maleeka Robb, Charlie Double, Denise Arnold and Brooke Bohan, decided to join forces, opening FOUR in 2010. They pride themselves on their excellence in colour, fabulous styling and the elite client salon experience that they offer. FOUR offer a very in-depth colour consultation process which they feel sets them apart from any of their competitors. I have to say that when I went in for my colour I found the time taken to ensure I received the look I absolutely wanted, was very professional and reassuring. Putting your hair into someone else’s hands for the first time can feel daunting, but my colourist Luci Green was excellent, talking me through the step by step process to achieve the look I was after. Also being patient with me, as I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted, so Luci’s expert advice was invaluable. At every stage I was really well looked after, being offered regular drinks and magazines to read, I also enjoyed a relaxing scalp massage.

Colour continuity is a priority for the team at the salon and in order to achieve this for their clients, FOUR offers guidance so customers learn how to maintain their colour for longer in between visits to the salon. The colourists are also able to create bespoke products individually tailored for home use. This is ideal for those who travel regularly for business or any clients who are unable to visit the salon quite as regularly as they would wish to. This is a very exclusive service and one not offered by many salons, so it definitely sets FOUR London apart.

FOUR is best known for their expertise and experience with colour, but they also offer cutting and styling services. I was lucky enough to have an overall colour with highlights, finished with a fantastic bouncy blow-dry. My stylist styled my grown-out fringe in a new way that I really liked and taught me how to recreate the look at hone. I found my blow dry stayed in place until I washed my hair a couple of days after my visit, which for my hair type was impressive. I received many compliments on my new look and I was personally really pleased with the results. My colour looked glossy and healthy and the placement of the highlights looked so natural. Exactly what I had been after!

The main ethos at FOUR London is to take the mystery and confusion away from hair colour. Clients who may have experienced previous colour issues either at other salons or whilst colouring hair from home may now have the opportunity to understand the concepts and techniques that will ensure this is a thing of the past. Building clients confidence is key, enabling them to experience the perfect colour service. I certainly agreed that the service and advice I received was really helpful.

In addition to the fantastic services available inside the salon, FOUR have recently launched an exciting new online shop – FOUR Life. This online retail store offers a small but perfectly curated selection of their favourite and recommended hair, beauty, health and jewellery products. The ladies at FOUR LONDON have certainly done an amazing job by creating such a beautiful, stylish and professional salon, I would absolutely recommend a visit, you will be very safe in their expert hands.
