What We Thought: When I picked the egg up, I realised the hefty price tag matched the heft of the egg; at up to 1kg of chocolate, you get a hell of a lot for your money. We tried the stunning 1kg ‘White Lotus inspired’ Lotus Egg, solid chocolate split into 14 wedges of four different flavours, making it annoyingly easy to share. We also enjoyed their take on the Dubai Chocolate trend, the Pistachio & Kataifi Breton Egg. A solid egg made of ‘doughnuts’ of alternating flavour on a wooden dowl, a bit like the most delicious hoopla you’ve ever seen, made of smooth milk chocolate with pistachio nibs and caramelised kataifi with blonde chocolate. Utterly delicious, they are modern, elegant and damn right tasty. A real Easter showstopper.
