Checking in to the Vibrant Villa Sea Princess Nika

VILLA SEA PRINCESS NIKA

My trip to Croatia and Mali Losinj to stay at the Villa Sea Princess Nika still takes my breath away every time I look at photos and reminisce. I truly felt like a VIP from start to finish. An elegant luxury from the moment I stepped off the plane. I am going to try and paint the picture of this amazing stay.

Where is Mali Losinj?

Mali Losinj is located in the northern Adriatic with the flight from Gatwick to Pula airport taking just under 3 hours, once we arrived at Pula airport we were quickly greeted by our very own pilot! You see there are different ways to get to Losinj from Pula, but the fastest way is via private air transfer.

This was a first for me, we were escorted to our Beechcraft King Airplane where we had ample space for all of us. I have never been on a small private plane like this and did not know what to expect. Yet again I felt like a VIP guest, with comfortable seats facing each other meaning we could have great conversation while enjoying the snacks that were on offer. Our pilot even took a small detour to show us Pula Arena which indeed was grand. I am a slightly nervous flyer and was worried I would feel a lot of movement and turbulence, but this was a very smooth flight.

After roughly 15 minutes we arrived at the humble Airport Losinj. As soon as we had landed and walked through this small airport, we could see a car already waiting with our Villa manager Viljam and our driver. I could instantly feel the luxury with pine tree oil-infused cold towels handed to us to give us a bit of refreshment before starting our journey to the villa.

The drive was short and comfortable and soon we found ourselves stepping out into the fresh clean air of Cikat Bay and walking towards our private luxury Villa, Villa Sea Princess Nika.

The Villa Sea Princess Nika

Shortly after arriving and being greeted with welcome drinks, we were guided through the villa. Newly built in a classic style, a clean minimalistic outer façade hiding an opulent treasure inside. Nestled slightly up on a hill embraced by the Aleppo pine trees all the while overlooking the turquoise waters of the cove. Inside you’ll find seven rooms all decorated differently, giving their own personality.

My room, which I believe was the prettiest one in the house, had a lovely balcony facing the cove, something I took advantage of as much as possible. It had a bright white and blue colour theme with the signature Murano Glass chandelier. These could be spotted around the villa, all slightly different and so beautiful. A large double bed and a wardrobe that lights up automatically, what else can a girl need? The bathroom sported a lovely large shower and double sinks. Toiletries for any need and an absolutely beautiful interior.

The cherry on top for me was when they had prepared my bed in the evening, and they had even placed a pair of slippers on the floor so I didn’t have to dance around barefoot.

You can tell this is a lavish house, but it is also made in a way where it’s not too “showy”, simply beautiful. Grand marble walls in different colours depending on the room. The interior kept with the aquatic theme. The beauty spans across three floors, there’s a wine cellar and a cinema room as well as a private spa with a gym and a steam sauna. And if the evening allows why not have a drink and enjoy the view from the outdoor jacuzzi?

As we had the evening to ourselves, we decided to enjoy a film in the private cinema, we were asked if we wanted anything to eat or drink and were given blankets to keep cosy.

Our butler Viljam and a chef were available 24/7 to support us in whatever we might have needed, whether it was a bite to eat or might more towels etc. They really do take care of you. Best of the best-certified from the Butler Academy.

Meals at the Villa Sea Princess Nika

Our breakfast was held outside on the terrace overlooking the bay, the menu was a lovely mixture of fresh fruits, salmon and croissants amongst other tasty things. It was so refreshing to start the day outside in the sunshine, but should the weather have been bad, the dining room sported a long 10-seater table with stunning velvet chairs, all under a magnificent light fixture, with the rustic French house-inspired kitchen all in a white and chocolate melange marble.

I felt like there was no request too big or small, and if we craved something not on the table it was easily made and brought out.

Our first lunch and dinner were all made from the fish caught in the morning, and knowing this made it even more special. The chef showed such passion and execution making you feel you are in a top restaurant. Our staff was so smiley and friendly while remaining so professional, I personally liked this very much as it made it feel natural and comfortable. All courses were perfectly paired with wine and if you are not an alcohol drinker or are allergic to something, there were options at hand.

Things to do in the area

We were treated to a wine tasting in the neighbouring Villa, Captain’s Villa Rouge, another villa with a stunning interior. Still in the nautical theme. Here we had a private wine tasting with wines from Croatia, it was very informative and a nice calm thing to do especially if you are a wine connoisseur or just want to learn more.

If you are a more active person, then this is a perfect place to hire a bike and cycle around the island, or why not try a water sport? If like me you prefer a more relaxed approach have no fear, I was given a key card that took me to a private area by the water. I felt so relaxed on the sun lounger just reading my book and enjoying this clean air. Of course, I had to test the water and take a swim.

There were ladders all around making it easy to reach but also for you to hold on to as you get in. We came early in the season, so the bay hadn’t really warmed up just yet. But that didn’t stop me, I took a few breaths and jumped in. It was so refreshing and just all over a lovely calm place to swim. And all of this, just a few steps away from the Villa. To me, this was ticking all the boxes.

Villa Sea Princess Nika is truly a perfect location for anyone who wants to feel taken care of and feel that VIP treatment, for those who want a venue that offers something for everyone in the party. Whether you are a group of friends, a family or maybe a bridal party this is a perfect place.
